At Fattoria Ma’ Falda, animals of different species are born and raised. Their health and well-being are the first objective in our farms. Here they live in a semi-wild state, in clean environments, have a balanced and healthy diet, grow without haste, with respect and care.
Our herd of Camosciata delle Alpi dairy goats has around 50 breeders and they live in a large, newly built stable. The chamois is a good milk producer, with a sociable and generous nature, loves grazing and relaxes by listening to music. The goats are milked twice a day, and all the milk is immediately processed in the company’s dairy.
Our goats follow the natural cycle, they give birth in January, produce milk for about 9 months and then rest in November and December and prepare for a new cycle.
Cinta Senese is the breed of our pigs, a breed that has never adapted to intensive farming and for this reason in the last 20 years it was practically disappearing.
The 5 sows, the boar and the litters are outdoors all year round in contact with the earth, under the oaks, the rain and the sun. They are happy consumers of whey and other garden, orchard and kitchen waste.
There are also pigeons, chickens, guinea fowl, geese and peacocks around our farm.
Our bees are not only honey producers but above all they play a fundamental role in the ecosystem with their important pollination work.
